With Halloween right around the corner, I thought of my previous Halloween-themed post and thought I needed to do something more “traditional.” While I’m not the most adventurous when it comes to horror games, I have dabbled in the genre and come out fairly frightened and thoroughly entertained on many occasions. The bigger the game, the more likely I am to play it, so all the Resident Evil’s and Dead Space’s tend to stay on my radar, while the smaller scary games like Amnesia (though, apparently, just as valid if not better than the aforementioned series’) are just not going to see my time. Despite this, my list of “Scariest Video Games” is likely not the same as anyone else, mainly because what I consider to be my most frightening moments don’t necessarily come from the survival horror genre. Let’s reminiscence about the scariest moments in gaming before Halloween is upon us! Read the rest of this entry »

Sunday Roundup: 10/19/14
Another fairly hefty sized haul this week continues the recent trend of ridiculous amounts of games being accumulated each week! And just like last week there’s a mix of GameStop finds and eBay pick-ups. I have decided that I need to slow down on the eBay buys. Not really because of the money issue, but because I’ve not been getting the greatest deals on some of these games. And yeah, the money does make a difference. So from now on I’ve decided I’m going to look online for some stuff, but just throw out some low-ball bids and see what happens. Strangely enough, it’s already amounted to 4 games :p So get ready for another huge Roundup next week. Read the rest of this entry »
Video Review: Die Hard Arcade
My first video using my Sega Saturn! Die Hard Arcade is such a fun game. It alone makes me happy to own the system! Now I want to play Dynamite Cop for the Dreamcast…

Sunday Roundup: 10/12/14
A strange week this week. I can’t recall any other week in which I bought this many loose games (garage sales notwithstanding). As the DS is reaching the last few months of its lifespan at retailers shelves, the likelihood of finding any games complete anymore is a dream which only occasionally comes to fruition. With that in mind, I decided to peruse the loose DS game stacks at three separate GameStop’s and came up with some great finds! Now I’m actually curious about other loose finds at other stores, so I think I’m going to be looking through those racks more often. Oh, and more games from eBay! Yay!! Read the rest of this entry »
Video Review: Sonic the Fighters
For as awful and button-mashy as Sonic the Fighters is, I still really want to see a fully fleshed out sequel!

Video Review – Octomania
It’s been a loooong time since I was active on YouTube, but I’m happy to say I’m back! I’ve already cut and edited three brand new video reviews for your viewing pleasure!
The first game for you all to enjoy and gawk at on your fancy computer screens is Octomania, a truly bizarre puzzle game straight out of Japan. It’s campy, it’s silly, it is never going to win any awards, but it’s a game I won’t soon forget! Enjoy!

Sunday Roundup: 10/5/14
Usually within a week I grab a few games from one, maybe two locations. But this week I was able to pick up a bunch of games from a lot of different places! GameStop, Amazon, another GameStop, and a trio of games from eBay! And, of course, seeing as this is “Smash Bros. Week”, I had to pick up my copy of Super Smash Bros for 3DS last Friday. It’s what I have been sinking all of my time into, so much so that I actually developed a small sore on the right thumb! Anyhow, if I have any luck, I’ll try to hit up a different GameStop today, one that I usually have good luck with and one that I don’t get to frequent all too often. So here we go.
