If only our adventures in Las Vegas were done up in a “Beavis and Butt-Head: Do America” feature film…
Alas we’re left with the otherwise excellent episode 15 of the Recurring Bosscast! Call it luck, fate, or sheer circumstance, but Jett and I happened to meet one another in America’s playground, Las Vegas! Mat unfortunately was left alone and cold as he was not in Vegas, and his girlfriend was in Iceland (which is much greener than Greenland, which is much cooler than Iceland. Go figure!)
This week’s topic was a damn good one: disappointing video game sequels! Mat and I have a scuffle over Final Fantasy VIII, I proclaim Mortal Kombat II as the pinnacle of the series, and there is very little love forĀ Sonic the Hedgehog.

I don’t know how we managed, but the Bosscast has secured an interview with Fake Ed Boon! Listen to the new episode to hear exclusive answers to questions like the forthcoming Mortal Kombat vs. NBA Jam, and the final DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Also this week, I tell of my experiences at the Nintendo press event in San Francisco, Mat gives us a great story of a trolling gamer, and Jett passes down his knowledge of Iceland.

Welcome to California!
This week the Bosscast goes into the memory bank and pulls out our fondest moments with LucasArts as the company is no more. This largely means we rant about Star Wars games, point-and-click adventures, and nothing in particular past 2005.
Also this week, amazingly Jett and I both played and hated with a passion the Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons abomination on Xbox Live.

This week’s Bosscast topic is Bioshock and all things related.
Somehow the topic of Bioshock got Jett, Mat, and myself discussing video game movies, remembering anything worthwhile about Bioshock 2, and the awesome that will never happen in the Castlevania-Bioshock crossover. We can only hope.
Also this week Mat and I diverge on our mutual dislike of Castlevania: Mirror of Fate, and Jett explains why Darkstalkers Resurrection is a competent 2D fighting collection.

Damn, 10 episodes already! I honestly can’t believe it’s been that many.
Anyway the Bosscast topic of the week is all things SimCity! Mat, Jett, and I dive deep into the back catalog of Sim games, retelling our stories of developing towns, destroying them by Godzilla, and listening to some epic chiptunes.
Also this week Jett and I were lame but Mat played some excellent new titles, including Crysis 3 and Saints Row: The Third.

What can you get for $10 these days? Two five dollar footlongs at Subway, at least until Thursday. Half of a T-shirt? Maybe some cheap flatware from Wal-Mart? This week I determined that $10 can net you more than some lame cutlery or fast food. It can be six video games! Sure, it’s not six of the newest games, but it’s six video games that can suck up way more time than some silly sandwich.

The Recurring Bosscast is back at ya with Episode 009!
As always it’s all about the games! As Sony sets itself up to launch the next console in its PlayStation family, Jett, Mat, and I take a look back at all the best and worst moments in the life of the PS3.
Jett has almost moved to his new new place, Laura and myself have found a place that will work for us in California, and Mat has had a slow life the past two weeks.

Episode 8 of the Recurring Bosscast is up and running!
Mat gives us his early impressions on the unreleased Metal Gear Rising, Jett and I talk top tier in Skylanders: Giants, and I divulge why 3DS owners should buy Fire Emblem: Awakening right away.
This week’s topic has us engaged in finding games that illicit true emotion, be it fear, love, hate, or laughter. We discover that most of the best games out there draw on some emotional standard, and forecast how up and coming titles should use this to their benefit.

Episode 7 of the Recurring Bosscast is now live!
This time we talk all things game related at CES, as well as our outlook on 2013. Mainly what new systems will be released.
There’s also discussion on a few games, including Unchained Blades on my end, as well as Jett finishing up XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and Mat playing through Super Brothers.
