Collecting two weeks, this Sunday Roundup has a few targeted pickups I knew I was going to grab, as well as some totally random ones, and even some awesome sale prices! Whenever there are sales that lump together a few solid games and some average one in a bundle price, I’ll always take a look if not grab a few to add to the collection. With plenty of influence from Diddy Kong Racing, Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot took to the kart racing genre on the PS1 with CTR: Crash Team Racing. I had plenty of chances to play the game when it first came out but somehow never managed to get behind the wheel until 2013, and my experiences we’re not bad at all. The game holds up fairly well, but with so many other options out there to feed your racing needs it’s not likely I’ll be racing with Crash and the crew any time soon.
A trip back to Indiana for a wedding yielded great benefits for my collection. A trip to the local game store in Michigan City, followed by a visit to the oh so lucrative Disc Replay in Merrillville meant plenty of games were found in this the end of July. Oh, and a game from GameStop thrown in for good measure!!
Two new stores to find retro games! One store was brand new as of this week, and really isn’t a store. It’s more of just some guy that tacked on his game collection to an existing hobby game store. Nonetheless, there were a few titles there that caught my eye. The second store was a used music/movies/games store that I saw from the highway and decided to stop in and look around. Surprisingly there were games aplenty at this place, including a Dreamcast game of all things! Well, let’s get this thing underway!
The 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo is right around the corner, and what better way to get hyped up for the event than by speculating what the conference might have to offer? I did a list like this last year and came away with almost one correct prediction, so maybe this year will be more realistic (though I highly doubt it). Even so, getting just one of these to be true would be fantastic and would totally make my E3. One can hope… Read the rest of this entry »
