Review: Dragon Age: Inquisition

Dragon Age Inquisition Art

It’s been over three years since we last explored Ferelden and the world of Thedas, and gamers have been yearning for a game to cleanse their palate of Dragon Age II. Gaming News: 3/23/13

Ducktales Remastered TitlePAX East is upon us! And as for news from the convention you can expect half a days worth of goodness here and the rest next week, thanks to the unfortunate timing of the release of this post!

In non-PAX news, Square Enix is re-releasing some games, Capcom is still re-releasing some games, and EA is moving around it’s top management. Read the rest of this entry »

This Week in Gaming News: 7/14/12 – 7/20/12

Wishing there was an alternative title with the NFL license to combat with Madden? Well keep wishing.

Also this week, Brain Fargo makes good on his Kickstarter promises by releasing the first tempting screenshot of Wasteland 2, the remake of Double Dragon packs on the neon lights, and the rebooting of sorts of the Rock Band series is shaping up to be another must-have part game. This Week in Gaming News: 6/30/12 – 7/6/12

Two big stories concerning the transition to digital gaming and cloud gaming. Not only that, but two big characters (well, only one is actually “big”) are added to the roster of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Review: Grand Slam Tennis 2

With successful franchises in just about every other sport, EA has decided to step on Centre Court and see if they can serve up an ace in the form of Grand Slam Tennis 2. In a complete 180 from the first title on the Wii, Grand Slam Tennis 2 has HD graphics, every grand slam venue to play on, solid online modes, and tennis’ current stars as well as the legends of the past as playable characters. With plenty of other tennis games out there, does this one have what it takes to become the world number one in tennis video games?

Now Playing: Grand Slam Tennis 2

I know I’m not the only one who enjoys a game of tennis, video or otherwise, but amongst my friends I’m pretty sure no one else likes tennis. For this reason or that, I find games like Grand Slam Tennis 2 to be wholly and intriguingly enthralling. Grand Slam Tennis 2 is EA’s newest addition to the tennis sim, and after Top Spin 4 it’s got big shoes to fill in terms of quality, depth, and playability. With John McEnroe’s gorgeous 80’s mug on the front cover, things are starting out fine already. Tennis, anyone?

Quick Hits: iPhone Gaming Madness

This past week (and as my phone currently told me today is still going on) EA had a massive sale on all their iPhone video games. Most games were $.99 and my girlfriend game me a $10 iTunes gift card, so picking up a few was an easy choice. I’ve played through a few and wanted to touch on each lightly, mayhaps to entice one of you to get one yourself.
