Review: LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

Bruce Wayne wins the Man of the Year award and, wouldn’t you know it, things couldn’t get any worse for the citizens of Gotham. The latest iteration of Traveller’s Tales’ LEGO series of video games is more than most other titles in the series. Not only does LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes feature the Dark Knight and the Boy Wonder, but it also has Superman, the Flash, Wonder Woman, the Green Lantern, and plenty of other DC superstars as playable characters, each with their own set of powers and abilities. Couple the playable characters with a good, funny story and solid cooperative play, and LEGO Batman 2 is a hit for gamers of all ages. Read the rest of this entry »

Yearly Roundup: 2011

As 2011 comes to an end, I thought it would be a cool idea to look back at the year in games. Specifically, the year in games added to my ever-growing library. Review: LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7

The magical world of Harry Potter meets the magic that is Lego in LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7. A continuation of Years 1-4, Years 5-7 wraps up the last three books and four movies of Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s adventures to stop He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named from causing certain doom for wizards and muggles alike. Following the same family friendly formula as past LEGO titles, LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 sits nicely as a rare game that combines fun gameplay with a challenge that’s accessible to all ages.
