Review: Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove 3D

Gabrielles Ghostly Groove 3D BannerWerewolves, vampires, mummies, skeletons, and all things that go bump in the night start to jump in the night in Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove 3D on the Nintendo 3DS. When you get the hiccups and suddenly turn into a ghost (I know, bad luck, right?), the only way to get back your corporeal form and rejoin your grieving mother is to dance and rock out with all variety of Halloween cliches. While the concept is fine and the art style is eye catching, the brevity, repetitiveness, and overly simplistic gameplay keep Gabrielle from being anything memorable.

Now Playing: Harvest Moon 3D: The Tale of Two Towns

Crops, livestock, watering cans, and rival villages have been captivating my free time the past week, and it’s all thanks to Harvest Moon 3D: The Tale of Two Towns for the 3DS. Sunday Roundup: 1/15/12

A nice variety of games this week, thanks to a visit to a Disc Replay store I don’t often get to venture out to. Granted, it’s not the best DR store I’ve seen, but sometimes they’ve got some good deals (like this past week!). On top of that I was happy to find that the new local used game store in my hometown must have received some business, because there were plenty of new titles to choose from. I only grabbed one this time, but I can easily see myself blowing a great deal of cash there soon (and I’ll be extremely happy to do so). This brings my total game count to well over 900, and I expect to hit 1000 by years end for sure. Oh god I feel horrible… so much money!

Sunday Roundup: 12/4/2011

Glorious day!

As luck would have it, a brand new, independently owned used video game store opened up right here in my home town! What are the odds?! No, I’m serious: what are they? Who is honestly opening up a used game store to rival that of Disc Replay or GameStop?

Well, whatever his reasons may be, I for one am exceedingly happy to have a carrier of old games located in my home town finally. I was happy to be one of his first customers on his first day. Let’s get on with things then, shall we?
