Another year is coming to an end, and with it a great assortment of new games added to the collection. This year was a lot more memorable than the previous years, mainly because I was actually able to play a lot of the new games that came out! Just check out my Top Ten Games of 2015 and see what I mean! 2015 Was also the year I really got to enjoy my PS4! I’m looking forward to what the next year has in store for Sony’s home console. And who could forget the Wii U! Haters gonna hate, but I still love that system, and this year saw several great titles added to Nintendo’s black box. The 3DS is still going strong, and the next game I’m most excited for in 2016 happens to be for the 3DS (Fire Emblem: Fates!!). I never mentioned it before (or at least I can’t recall if I have), but this year also happened to be the year I surpassed 2,000 games in the collection! Yay for game collecting but boo for my aching wallet! Just like last year, instead of doing a complete rundown of all the games of 2015, here are the top ten best games I found last year!

In lieu of the usual Yearly Roundup, where I recount every game added to the collection over the past year, this year I’ve decided to do something different. As with every year here on SlickGaming there are many excellent finds and surprising deals on video games each and ever month, and I’ve always had a blast sharing them all with you. But now it’s time to look at the best of the best from 2014. I purchase a lot of games that are, for better or worse, padding to the collection. Now it’s time to look past those and determine the best, most exciting, and generally awesome finds of the last year. The following games (or groups of games) were the most impressive additions to the catalog in 2014. They’re not necessarily the rarest or most hard to find, but rather the most memorable pickups and greatest deals. Read the rest of this entry »
Another full year of game collecting has come to a close. While I don’t think 2013 stacked up as much as 2012 (in terms of amount of games added), 2013 still gave me dozens of great new games to play and cherish. I picked up a brand new console in 2013 with the Wii U, and even managed to snag a few new Sega Saturn and original Xbox games as well. This was also a strong year for downloadable games for me, especially for review on the 3DS, so a lot of games I’d have loved to own I only have in digital form. Sad, but not the worst thing that could happen. Without further adieu, here are the games of 2013:
Another year draws to a close and 2013 is right in front of us. What better way to look back on the year that was 2012 than reliving each and every game purchase of the year! You may recall last year I did something very similar at the end of the year, but this time around it’s a bit more special. 2012 was Slick Gaming’s first full calendar year being a live blog (a feat I still can’t grasp entirely). That means a lot of things, like more posts and features than before, but it also means an entire year’s worth of new games chronicled in the Sunday Roundup feature. Let’s start out in January and take a look back at the year in games! Read the rest of this entry »
As 2011 comes to an end, I thought it would be a cool idea to look back at the year in games. Specifically, the year in games added to my ever-growing library. If you’re a frequent visitor to the site (I greatly hope you are!) you’ll no doubt know I do a weekly blog post about my newest games. So below I’ve collected every game I added this year (well, really only half-year, because I started this blog in late July). I’ve also linked any relevant posts I’ve done about said games, like reviews, Modern Classics, and gameplay videos. Enjoy the small retrospective, and here’s to another fantastic year in gaming in 2012!
