This Week in Gaming News: 7/28/12 – 8/3/12

Due to being rather busy this week/weekend with work and personal life stuff (i.e. Graduation), this week’s Gaming News section is going to be truncated. I’ll use simple notes to get the news to you all. Next week should return to form. Thanks!

 

 

 


Mass Effect 3 will be getting another DLC pack. Called Leviathan, the content will feature new weapons, characters, and story elements. (Source: Machinima)


Star Wars: The Old Republic is going Free-To-Play this fall. Gamers who choose to opt out of the $15 monthly fee will be able to level up any of the available classes fully, but won’t have access to high end content, which will be reserved for paying players. (Source: IGN)


Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will feature cross-platform support for multiplayer. Players on the iPad, Android, Mac, and PC will be able to play together. (Source: Joystiq)


The newest Left 4 Dead 2 DLC, Cold Stream, was made available for the Xbox 360 and PC this week. The Xbox 360 version was delayed slightly, but has since been released for 560 MSP. (Source: Kotaku)


A leak of the full (?) character list for upcoming fighter PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale was found. It contains lots of exciting new characters. View them all from the source! (Source: IGN)

    I’m thinking about picking up Cold Stream. Been looking for an excuse to fire up L4D2 again. Have you had a chance to try it?
