Sunday Round-up: 7/31/11

A new 3DS title, the original Fallouts, and the official expansion set to the first Diablo. This week’s haul of games is all over the place! With ten new entries into the collection, let’s dive right in…

 

Initial Thoughts: Runespell: Overture

I am such a sucker for the absurd games. Take Runespell: Overture for example: It’s a game that combines the grind and fantasy of an RPG with the luck and fortune of poker. Somehow, believe it or not… it actually works out fairly well.

 

Initial Thoughts: Bastion

I picked up the new XBLA game Bastion yesterday and was able to get a ways into it before I had to stop. I’ve seen and read many reviews on the title, and I was impressed with the amount of praise the little game was getting. From what I could tell it was an action-RPG with gorgeous visuals and a unique touch to narration. So, being the person I am, I felt I owed it to myself to play. And I did. And it was good.

Everything has to start somewhere
It’s taken awhile getting here. I’ve been as slow getting a blog started as a can possibly be, but alas, here I am. If every great moment in history starts off in someone’s mind, then perhaps this is my great moment. Or I’m just really bored and wasting my time, I don’t know.
