What a guy! Nintendo’s portly plumber has saved the Mushroom Kingdom dozens of times, rescued Princess Peach whenever she was in peril, and even let his brother share the limelight every once in awhile, and now he’s throwing yet another massive party for all to attend!
Mario Party 9 is the first game in the series to come out in over five years and mixes up the formula quite a bit, without sacrificing the core Mario Party feel. If you’re looking for a reason to turn on your Wii, this is the best excuse since Skyward Sword.
It’s been years (possibly a decade) since I’ve played any of the Mario Party titles. I owned the first one, played the next few, and then somehow missed out on the rest until now. But Mario Party 9 is a great welcome back to fans of the series and veterans such as myself that have just returned to the minigame madness. The game certainly isn’t perfect, but you know what it is if you’ve got friends to play with? Fun!

i was never into mario party, so the score doesn’t matter. But I wish nintendo would move on to newer things every now and then.

I do too. At least they gave this one off to a new developer and they implemented a few changes for the better. But perhaps a complete overhaul is what the series needs.
